If you have concerns about your child's speech, language, understanding, ability to express themselves, or overall communication skills, an evaluation may be helpful. Teachers, pediatricians, and other professionals may also recommend an evaluation.

IDEAL SPEECH & LANGUAGE provides speech and language evaluations for children ages 1–10.

Evaluations are provided in person in your home throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties, including Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Highland Beach, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point, Coconut Creek, and Parkland.

The fee for a comprehensive speech AND language evaluation is $750*. If only speech OR language evaluation is needed, then the cost is $500*. 

The fee includes the evaluation, analysis and interpretation of results, a comprehensive written report, and a parent feedback conference.

*Private Pay: IDEAL SPEECH & LANGUAGE does not accept or bill insurance. Payment is due at the time of service. A processing fee of 3% will be added to payments made by a credit card. 

The length of an evaluation varies depending on your child's age, attention, communication needs, and the areas being assessed. Most children go through the entire evaluation in one session. A break may be taken when necessary; however, the goal is to complete the evaluation during one visit. 

Parent participation is determined based on your child's age, comfort level, and the nature of the evaluation. Parents are an important part of the evaluation process, and information provided by parents helps create a more complete understanding of the child's communication skills.

You will receive a comprehensive written report (typically within 3 business days) that summarizes evaluation findings and provides personalized recommendations.

You will also participate in a parent feedback conference to review results and discuss recommendations and next steps.

Recommendations will be provided based on your child's individual evaluation results. Recommendations may include speech-language therapy or other appropriate next steps. However, IDEAL SPEECH & LANGUAGE is not affiliated with or employed by any other speech-language therapy practice or business. If speech and/or language therapy is recommended, families may independently research and select a provider that meets their needs. IDEAL SPEECH & LANGUAGE does not endorse or guarantee the services of any specific outside providers.

Yes. You may share your child's evaluation report with your child's pediatrician, school, or other professionals involved in supporting your child.

Within the design, you’ll  find the letters "iSLP," representing evaluations conducted in an ideal way as part of the Speech-Language Pathology services that one may receive. These letters also form a figure that represents an individual, while the green upward arrow symbolizes growth, progress, and positive change toward the journey of reaching one’s goals. Together, these elements reflect my commitment to helping families take the first step by providing individualized speech and language evaluations that identify strengths, clarify areas of need, and support meaningful next steps.
